The president of the International Association of Futsal Players takes the reins of the European association of elite athletes.

In a historic election held during the General Assembly in Bologna, Italy, on June 6, 2023, Natalia Orive, president of the International Association of Women’s Futsal Players, was elected as the new President of EU Athletes, the European association of associations of elite athletes. This appointment marks a milestone of great importance, as it represents the first time in history that a woman has assumed this position.
From now on, the organization’s Board of Directors will be composed of distinguished representatives of various European sports associations, including:

The first meeting of the new Board of Directors took place in Madrid on September 29, at the facilities of the Association of Futsal Players. During this meeting, crucial issues were addressed, including the presentation of the new strategic plan for the period 2023-2027 and its subsequent implementation.
Natalia Orive, who has been a member of the EU Athletes Board of Directors since 2015, expressed her commitment to the organization. He emphasized the importance of EU Athletes in the growth of athletes’ associations and their role in promoting good practices throughout Europe.
